Departure from the hotel by bus, traveling towards the Carezza pass, from here go up by chairlift to the Paolina refuge. Once arrived walk on the easy path that climbs to the right towards Val di Fassa. It is marked by the n. 539 and then n. 549 towards the Roda di Vael refuge, reachable in about 40 minutes. About halfway along the trail, you will come across the now famous bronze eagle named after Theodor Christomannos, a mountaineer and tour guide who contributed, in the last century, to make this area known and open to tourism.
Here you will enjoy beautiful view of the Carezza pass, Moena and Val di Fassa. Arriving at the refuge, after a brief stop, continue along path no. 541 towards the peaks of the Catinaccio. You can also go up with a short itinerary on the nearby Ciampaz peak (2316 m) from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Val di Fassa and Marmolada. Continuing on path 541, through woods, flowers and pastures, we set off to reach the Ciampedie plain, where splendid shelters will cheer us up with excellent meals and a beer. The return to Pozza di Fassa is possible via cable car.
